Often clients have exacting images and ideas in mind for their identity. Such was the case for both
Heather Hall's business cards and Qwest Footage Inc.
For these clients, Beware ensures the technical rendition absolutely meets the idea they
had in mind. For clients such as Itzyu and Image Media,
Beware was tasked with creating the visual expression that best reflected the company.
The Springwater Lodge had a logo, but it existed only as original art etched in glass.
Using photography, careful tracing and considerable cleanup, the print version is a successful replica of the glass logo.
Conversely, Thérèse Willan needed an atmosphere and not a logo to reflect
her own artistic capabilities. Like a hair stylist, Beware is comfortable being told to do
"whatever we think is best"; or to reproduce "a celebrity style from a magazine"; or to only
"take an inch off and no more".
Ultimately, for a brand or identity to have any meaning it must speak to a customer in a personal way. And the only
way for that to happen is if the brand was developed in a personal way in the first place.
